meditations for womxn who do too much

Published in 1990

Found at The Book Shop in Penticton, perhaps the greatest second hand book store I’ve had the pleasure of visiting (and re-visiting, days in a row on our visit to that desert mountain city)

Purchased with the intention of gifting it to my Mother, a mom (like many) who does The MOST / too much. I still have the book in my collection, as I work to liberate myself of this old programming — to give without honouring this body’s needs first, to worry about things beyond my control, rushing towards an impossible perfection. I hold this book still as I liberate these womxn in Me! I keep it by the toilet, and do a pull (~bibliomancy) when I’m on the throne for an extended period of time :P Full of good reminders. Also, bless our waste! How miraculous of our bodies, to process all that stuff (food waste, thought waste, belief waste) that would otherwise accumulate into dis-ease. Love pooh talk, personally. Just another form of alchemy, and proof that our bodies are fucking magickal systems (the mechanisms of our body are beyond our control if you really think of it… yet definitely within our terrain of responsibility).
